Email Questions

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to say how much I am enjoying all of the information that you are providing. I took a webinar with you and Carl last year and found that fascinating also. Somewhere in my notes of that seminar, I wrote that age 52 is important in Mayan thought, but I don’t remember why. Can you provide some clues to that? Thanks for your help and hope all is well with you both. - D.

Response from Jag:

Dear Donna,

***Clues to 52’s****

According to modern traditional view, the cycle you are referring to functions on the multiple of 13.

0 to 13, 13 to 26, 26 to 39, 39 to 52

These are Tuns, or the number of Tun cycles (360 day cycles) of a person’s life.

Each one also represents on a smaller scale, the shift of ages of the 5 suns.
When a person reaches their 52nd Tun, they’re entering the 5th Sun of their life.

They’re then considered within the definition of tradition as being accountable and eligible to be an “elder” within the community as long as the other necessary elements of elder-ship are also met.

To figure out your number of Tun you multiply your solar years times 365.25 and divide that total by 360. This gives you the number of Tun cycles of your life.

Without doing any math at all, if you’re 52 years of age, or older, you’re in your 5th Sun.

We’re very glad to hear you’re enjoying our work.

Thank you for your well wishes.

As students of life, every moment is a wonderful adventure.
warm regards…
